Air Fryer Hooter’s Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 ½ pounds frozen chicken wings, thawed
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 stick salted butter
1/4 cup hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika. Stir well.
Coat thawed chicken wings in flour mixture, then transfer them to a baking sheet. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
In a small saucepan, combine salted butter, hot sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Heat over medium heat until butter is melted.
Remove seasoned wings from the refrigerator. Dip into the butter mixture, then in flour mixture again.
Preheat your air fryer to 400 F (200 C) for 5 minutes. Working in batches, place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. Repeat the same with the remaining wings.
Serve hot.
