Air Fryer Fried Rice Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups cooked and cooled rice (preferably day-old, any variety like jasmine or basmati)
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)
2 green onions, chopped (optional)
2 tbsp neutral oil (like vegetable or sesame oil)
Sauce:
2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1 tsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Pinch of white or black pepper
Optional Add-ins:
Cooked chicken, shrimp, pork, or tofu (½–1 cup)
Chili flakes or sriracha for heat
Pineapple chunks for sweet & savory
Directions
Set air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes.
In a large bowl, mix cooked rice with: Beaten eggs, Frozen veggies, Sauce ingredients (soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic/onion powder, etc.), Oil (to help crisp and prevent sticking)
Make sure rice is cold and broken up before mixing to avoid clumps.
Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Add rice mixture in a shallow, even layer (don’t overfill).
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking or stirring halfway through, until rice is golden and slightly crisp at the edges.
If using cooked protein, mix it in during the last 5 minutes of air frying.
Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
Serve hot as a main or side dish.
