Air Fryer Baked Ziti
Ingredients
1/2 pound penne pasta, not cooked
24 ounces pasta sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup panko
2 tablespoons butter, melted, unsalted
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Cook the ziti according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain well and return to the pot.
Spray your baking dish with cooking spray. Add the drained pasta to a large bowl, and add the marinara sauce, 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella, and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese; add the Italian seasoning.
Transfer the ziti mixture to the saucepan and simmer for 1-2 minutes; fold in the rest of the cheese.
Add the panko, melted butter, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl and mix well.
Sprinkle the panko on top of the casserole.
Preheat your air fryer to 330 degrees F (165°C) for 3-5 minutes. Once preheated, carefully place the pan in the air fryer basket. Set cook time for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
Let the baked ziti cool for a few minutes after cooking. Garnish with fresh basil if desired before serving.
