Air Fryer Strawberry Mascarpone Bruschetta
Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick pieces
1 cup mascarpone cheese, softened
3 tablespoons honey
9 medium-sized strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
10 basil leaves, for garnish
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Directions
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (about 180°C). This ensures the baguette slices toast evenly and become perfectly crisp.
Lightly brush each baguette slice with olive oil (optional) for extra crispness. Arrange the slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they don’t overlap. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Air fry the baguette slices for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning. Once toasted, remove the slices from the air fryer and let them cool slightly on a wire rack.
While the bread is toasting, in a small bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese with a tablespoon of honey (if using) and a pinch of salt until smooth and spreadable.
Spread a generous layer of the mascarpone mixture on each toasted baguette slice. Top with sliced strawberries, arranging them neatly.
Drizzle balsamic glaze over the strawberries on each slice. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for a pop of color and freshness.
Serve the Strawberry Mascarpone Bruschetta immediately after assembling to enjoy the contrast of the warm, crispy baguette with the cool, creamy mascarpone and the fresh strawberries.
