Air Fryer Bread
Ingredients
Makes 1 small loaf or 4 rolls
2 cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp instant yeast (or active dry yeast)
¾ cup warm water (around 110°F / 43°C)
1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional for richness)
Optional Variations:
Add 1 tsp herbs (rosemary, oregano, garlic powder) for herbed bread.
Replace half the flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier version.
Mix in cheese or seeds for extra texture and flavor.
Directions
Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
If using instant yeast, skip this step and mix it directly with dry ingredients.
In a bowl, combine flour and salt.
Add yeast mixture (or water + instant yeast) and olive oil.
Stir and knead into a dough (5–8 minutes by hand or 3–4 minutes in a mixer).
Dough should be soft, smooth, and slightly tacky.
Cover dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 45–60 minutes).
Punch down dough and shape into either A small round or oval loaf or 4 rolls (roll into balls)
Place shaped dough into a greased air fryer-safe pan or parchment-lined basket.
Cover and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
Preheat air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Lightly brush dough with oil or milk for a golden crust.
Air fry for 15–18 minutes for loaf or 10–12 minutes for rolls
Bread should sound hollow when tapped and be golden on top.
Let cool on a rack for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
