Air Fryer Lamb Meatballs
Ingredients
1 pound ground lamb (510g)
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
3 tablespoons fine breadcrumbs
¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
oil
Directions
Preheat the air fryer to 380F / 190c. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, run it at 380F for 5 minutes before adding them in.
Add all of the ingredients, except the oil, to a large bowl, and combine using your hands. Don’t over mix the meatball ingredients. Everything should be well combined but over mixing can lead to chewy and dry meatballs rather than tender and juicy ones.
Roll the mixture into balls, about two tablespoons each, and place on a lined baking sheet til ready to cook.
Spray the air fryer basket with oil to coat it and place in the meatballs in an even layer. Spray the tops of the meatballs with more oil.
Set to cook at 380F / 190c for 15 minutes, shake halfway through cooking.
Add to hot pasta sauce and serve over freshly cooked pasta.
* Use an oil spray bottle to get those crispy edges (not aerosol which can damage your air fryer). If you don’t have one, pour a little oil into your hands and roll the meatballs in them to coat before adding to the air fryer.
