Air Fryer Crispy Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
3 tbsp of buttermilk
1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
Seasoning Salt, to taste
A dash of pepper, according to your taste preference
1 Ziploc bag, for convenient marination
Cooking oil spray, for that perfect crispy finish

Directions

Begin by patting the pork chops dry, ensuring they’re free from excess moisture.

Take the pork chops and generously season them with a pinch of seasoning salt and pepper.

Drizzle the buttermilk over the seasoned pork chops.

Place the pork chops inside a Ziploc bag along with the all-purpose flour. Give the bag a good shake, ensuring the chops are evenly coated.

For an extra layer of flavor and texture, consider marinating the coated pork chops for about 30 minutes. This step is entirely optional but recommended, as it allows the flour to adhere better to the meat.

Lay the marinated pork chops in the air fryer basket, making sure not to stack them. If necessary, cook the chops in batches to ensure even cooking.

Give the pork chops a light coating of cooking oil spray. This step aids in achieving that beautiful golden-brown and crispy exterior.

Set the air fryer to 380 degrees and cook the pork chops for approximately 5 minutes. After this initial cook time, flip the pork chops over to ensure even cooking on both sides.

Continue cooking the pork chops for an additional 10 minutes, or until they reach a delectable level of crispiness. For that perfect finish, flip the chops over once more and cook for another 5-10 minutes.

Before indulging in your culinary masterpiece, ensure that the pork chops have reached an internal temperature of at least 140°F. A meat thermometer comes in handy for this step, as cooking times can vary based on different air fryer models.
