Air Fryer Cod
Ingredients
2 cod fillets (6–8 oz each), thawed if frozen
1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
Optional: pinch of cayenne or lemon pepper
Lemon wedges and chopped parsley (for garnish)
Optional Coating (for a crispy crust):
¼ cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
½ tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning
Directions
Pat the cod fillets very dry with paper towels (this helps them crisp).
Rub each fillet with olive oil or butter.
In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and optional cayenne.
Sprinkle seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the fish.
If using breadcrumbs: Mix breadcrumbs + Parmesan + herbs in a separate bowl. Press mixture lightly onto top of each fillet for a crispy top crust.
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Spray air fryer basket with a bit of oil or line with perforated parchment paper (optional).
Place cod fillets in the basket in a single layer, not touching.
Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness.
Cod is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches internal temp of 145°F (63°C).
Serve hot with lemon wedges.
