Air Fryer Spiced Crispy Cubed Taters
Ingredients
1 large russet potato (per person)
SPICES (PER POTATO)
1 Tbsp grape seed oil
1/4 tsp sweet paprika
1/4 tsp salt, kosher variety, to taste
1/4 tsp white pepper, freshly ground
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
Directions
Peel and dice the potato; making sure that the cubes are as equal in thickness as possible. Optimum cube size would be from 1/2 to 3/4 inches (1.2 to 2cm). But do not drag out your ruler; just eyeball it. And, understand, the smaller they are, the faster they cook.
Fill a bowl with cold water, toss in the potato cubes, and let them soak for 30 – 40 minutes. Remove from the water bath, and pat dry with some paper towels.
Set your air fryer to 400f (205c) and preheat for a couple of minutes.
Add the oil and spices to a bowl and stir to combine. Add the potatoes and toss with the oil/spice mixture.
Place the potatoes into the basket of your air fryer and cook until they are crispy and cooked through, about 15 – 20 minutes. Give the basket a shake every few minutes.
