Air Fryer Copycat Applebee’s Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Wings

Ingredients

Chicken Wings:
8.5 ounces Flamin-Hot Cheetos, crushed
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
2 pounds chicken wings, about 20 wings

Sauce:
1/4 cup hot sauce, Tabasco or other
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey

Serving:
Ranch dressing
Celery sticks

Directions

Place the Cheetos in a food processor and pulse until they are small pieces but not powdered. Pour into a wide dish for dipping.

In a wide dish, combine the flour, garlic powder, salt and black pepper.

Beat the eggs well and place in a wide dish.

Pat the wings dry, then dip in the flour, then in the eggs, then finally into the Cheetos.

Place the wings into the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd. Spray the wings with cooking spray.

Air fry at 390° for 20 – 25 minutes (depending on the air fryer), flip halfway and spray again with cooking spray.

Combine the ingredients for the sauce and serve the wings with the sauce, ranch dressing and celery sticks.
