Air Fryer Lipton Onion Soup Mix Burgers
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef, 80/20 recommended
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix, about 1 oz
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp black pepper
8 hamburger buns
Optional toppings:
Sliced cheddar, American, or Swiss cheese
Lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion
Mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, or burger sauce
Directions
Preheat: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 to 5 minutes.
Mix: In a large bowl, gently combine the ground beef, Lipton onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix only until just combined — over mixing makes tough burgers.
Shape: Divide into 8 equal portions and shape into patties slightly wider than your buns. Press a small dimple into the center of each with your thumb (this prevents puffing).
Air fry: Place patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Cook at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Cheese & buns (optional): Add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking. Toast buns cut-side up in the basket during the final 2 minutes.
Rest & serve: Let burgers rest 3 minutes, then build on toasted buns with your favorite toppings. Serve hot.
