Air Fryer Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 lb Chicken wings
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Salt
¼ tsp White pepper
1 tsp Garlic powder
2 tbsp Cornstarch
2 tsp Cooking oil
Cooking oil spray as needed
Salt and pepper seasoning powder:
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp White pepper
1 tsp Garlic powder
½ tsp Chinese five spice powder
½ tsp MSG or chicken powder
For wok toss:
2 cloves Garlic minced
2 Chilli pepper sliced
3 stalks Spring onions green onions whites and greens separated
Cooking oil 2 tsp
Directions
Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and add all the marinade ingredients. Mix well, cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
Add the cornstarch and toss and coat the wings.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C 400°F. Arrange the wings in a single layer in the basket cooking in batches. Air fry for 20 minutes flip halfway and fry until golden brown and crispy.
Combine all the salt and pepper seasoning ingredients in a small bowl. Heat the oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and the white part of the spring onions and sauté until fragrant. Add the chilli slices, then add the air-fried chicken wings. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the wings and toss quickly until well coated.
